SUNY Transfer and Articulation Community
Join the open Transfer and Articulation Community hosted by SUNY. The group is designed to discuss evolving transfer initiatives and policies as well as best practices used across the SUNY System. This community is open to all faculty and staff in SUNY who support our transfer students.

New York State Transfer and Articulation Association (NYSTAA)
NYSTAA is dedicated to the mobility and success of transfer students in higher education and the professional development of its members. NYSTAA strives to increase transfer student opportunities and improve articulation among New York State’s two-year and four-year public and private accredited colleges and universities.
Communicate nationwide and share practices using online communities and listservs.
AACRAO Transfer and Articulation Community of Practice
AACRAO's Transfer & Articulation committee hosts an open community of practice call where any member of the AACRAO community can engage to discuss current issues or trends related to transfer credit, PLA, or articulation.
NACADA Advising Community on Transfer Students
The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) maintains a community and listserv for members. The community has a diverse membership including advisors, admissions professionals, faculty advisors, and advising administrators.
NACAC Community College/Transfer Special Interest Group
The National Association for College Admission Counseling Community College/Transfer Special Interest Group is designed to engage people in discussion about the unique issues facing community colleges and transfer students. This is a special interest group for the discussion of issues that relate specifically to the students at community colleges and those that transfer from a community college to a 4-year institution.
Several national organizations, centers and philanthropic groups support the work of higher education and transfer students.
The Aspen Institute - Transfer
The Aspen Institute is a global nonprofit organization committed to realizing a free, just, and equitable society. The Institute has been engaged in Higher Education and transfer work and has supported or developed several research projects and partnerships designed to improve the transfer landscape.
Community College Research Center (CCRC) - Transfer
CCRC is an independent research organization that partners with community colleges across the country. CCRC research has been instrumental in assessing the transfer landscape, and in the development of approaches to improve transfer between community colleges and four-year institutions.
National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH)
NASH operates several transfer-focused initiatives including their Taking Student Success to Scale (TS3) transfer programming.
National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS)
NISTS provides research and support to assist transfer professionals in improving the transfer experience and expanding transfer opportunities. The NISTS is housed at the University of North Georgia.
