The SUNY Transfer Bill of Rights affirms SUNY’s commitment to ensuring every transfer student experiences a process that is fair, transparent, and centered on their academic and personal success. It outlines students’ rights to clear and timely transfer information, equitable credit evaluation, comprehensive academic and campus support, and guidance throughout their transition. These principles help create an inclusive, respectful environment where transfer students can thrive and fully access the opportunities available across SUNY’s campuses. |

The SUNY Transfer Liaison Program strengthens transfer success across the SUNY system by designating campus professionals to serve as key connectors between their institutions and SUNY System Administration. Transfer Liaisons help ensure that transfer policies, best practices, and important updates are clearly communicated and consistently implemented. They coordinate campus outreach, share guidance and training resources, and support faculty and staff in creating transparent, student‑centered transfer experiences. Through this collaborative network, SUNY enhances communication, improves policy awareness, and advances seamless transfer pathways for all students. |

These communities, including the SUNY Transfer Hub, the open Transfer & Articulation Viva Engage community, the SUNY Transfer Listserv and proposed cross‑campus collaboratives bring together faculty, staff, and administrators to expand engagement, streamline policy communication, and enhance support for transfer students across the system. |

The proposed SUNY regional partnerships are collaborative efforts designed to strengthen transfer pathways by bringing together neighboring SUNY campuses - particularly community colleges and four year institutions - to provide earlier, more coordinated, and more personalized support for prospective transfer students. Examples of these proposed regional partnerships include initiatives in which four‑year campuses work directly with multiple nearby community colleges to offer early personalized advisement, dedicated transfer advising staff, enhanced communication supports, and programming designed to ease students’ academic and social transition. |
