The transfer paths for engineering may include up to three campus specific courses that student should complete prior to transferring to achieve junior status.

The fundamentals of material science are presented for the following topical areas: Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Metallurgy, Testing of Materials Ceramics, Optical and Electronic Materials, Plastics and Polymers, Nanoscale Materials, Composite Materials and Adhesives. The use of these fundamentals in design and manufacturing applications and environments is explored.
