The mission of the SUNY Office of Transfer and Articulation (OTA) is to work collaboratively to maintain a support system that promotes transfer student success by providing transparent and consistent processes and policies, strengthening resources, tools, and connections system-wide, and establishing clear pathways to timely degree completion.
• Develop and maintain a nationally recognized model for transfer articulation to help students achieve their educational goals in a timely manner.
• Advance transfer and articulation initiatives as prescribed by the recommendations of the SUNY Transfer Task Force.
• Develop and support day-to-day services and operations of all centrally managed transfer features, tools, and technologies.
• Provide support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff system-wide on policies and processes related to student mobility, including Seamless Transfer, Transfer Paths, Cross-Registration, and Reverse Transfer.
• Serve as a liaison between students, campuses, and SUNY System Administration.
• Support data governance, data quality initiatives, and data collection initiatives related to transfer and articulation, prior learning and associated policies and practices. Evaluate transfer data and identify areas for improvement, policy revisions, or increased opportunities and resources across the landscape.
• Provide system-wide outreach and training to increase awareness and visibility of relevant transfer-aligned policies and opportunities.
• Guide the work of the Transfer Advisory Council and other associated leadership groups.
