SUNY Transfer Liaisons are important campus partners who are charged with helping disseminate policies and ensuring that transfer initiatives and best practices are shared and communicated on their campuses. Liaisons shall be campus faculty and staff who hold an existing transfer support or leadership title that aligns with the expectations of the role.
SUNY Transfer Liaisons will benefit from additional training provided by SUNY and its partners, as well as having the opportunity to participate in professional development, SUNY conferences, a community of practice, and SUNY Transfer leadership meetings.
● Serve as the primary point of contact between their campus leadership and SUNY System Administration.
● Coordinate meetings, and communicate with stakeholders to help disseminate policy and procedural information in support of SUNY-wide goals.
● Ensure that all transfer-related policies are communicated to relevant departments and staff on their campus.
● Distribute guidance, documents and informational materials regarding transfer initiatives, policies and procedures.
● Connect campus stakeholders with training sessions, workshops and communities of practice designed to educate faculty and staff on transfer policies.
SUNY System Administration leaders will seek nominations for SUNY Transfer Liaisons through the President's Office, Chief Academic Officer and Vice President for Student Affairs on each SUNY Campus. Campus leaders may submit a campus nomination using the nomination form below.
