The Transfer Advisory Council is dedicated to supporting transfer students across the SUNY System by advising on strategies to improve the transfer process. The council works closely with the Transfer and Articulation Office to enhance the transfer experience, increase credit transferability, and promote alignment in academic and institutional practices. In addition, the council will provide guidance on improving communication at the campus level, fostering better information sharing, and enhancing engagement across stakeholder groups to support adoption, impact, and the identification of emerging campus needs as improvements are made.

The council will offer recommendations on key initiatives, including revising Transfer Paths, updating transfer policies, and improving campus-to-campus transfer procedures. It will also consult on developing consistent, equitable policies across SUNY campuses, ensuring a clear and accessible transfer process for all students.

Through recommending policy improvements, encouraging institutional alignment, and fostering collaboration, the council will play a key role in ensuring that transfer students have the resources and guidance they need to achieve their academic goals.
